Rigorous Safety Protocols for Tree Operations, Emergency Response,

and Community Protection

Safety
First

At AERI, safety comes first. Our carefully designed production plan prioritizes injury prevention, property protection, and environmental care. From day one, we've focused on maintaining the highest safety standards, reflected in our exemplary OSHA compliance and industry-leading safety protocols.

We prioritize safe, steady production over speed. Our team is recognized for their commitment to safety, not for rushing through tasks. Tree work is dangerous, and rushing can lead to accidents. Our team must feel secure, and our clients must trust that safety is at the core of everything we do. At AERI, we believe that safety always wins.

At AERI, safety is our top priority, especially in Utility Vegetation Management (UVM), one of the most dangerous jobs in America. From day one, we instill the importance of looking out for each other ("be your brother's keeper") and only hire seasoned professionals with proven safety records.

Our comprehensive onboarding process—from application to safety training—is conducted through AERI's Center for Safety Excellence. With multiple training sites, we offer outdoor circuits for skills testing and fully equipped classrooms for safety instruction. This program ensures that both new hires and current employees demonstrate their commitment to safety and readiness for advancement, no matter their location.

AERI's Health & Safety Manual is the result of years of strategic planning, hands-on experience, and expert input, combined with insights from top safety programs. This manual is a dynamic, living document, reviewed and updated monthly to ensure it stays current and effective. Every AERI worker has access to the manual in their vehicle, covering essential topics such as tree inspection, electrical and chemical hazards, first aid, and more. Our daily safety briefings are drawn directly from this comprehensive manual, reinforcing our commitment to a culture of safety.

Safe Employees At AERI, safety goes beyond having rules written in a manual—it’s about building a strong safety culture. It's not just about the rules we create but the ones we refuse to compromise on. We don’t tolerate shortcuts because they endanger lives. If an employee lacks the skills, tools, or time to complete a job safely, it simply doesn’t get done. Cutting corners is cheating, and at AERI, we know that deliberate, steady work is what truly wins.

AERI's safety culture is built on training, awareness, and constant vigilance. Every field employee is trained in CPR, First Aid, and wildfire suppression—critical skills for working in remote locations. In addition to formal instruction, daily on-the-job teaching moments, weekly tailboard discussions, and monthly master class workshops ensure our team's safety skills remain sharp. We also provide annual refreshers on electrical hazards, hazard communication, and aerial rescue training, so every climber and lift operator has full confidence in their team's ability to respond in an emergency.
